Mitochondrial Research Tools
Mitochondrial dysfunction contributes to a variety of diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, Huntington’s disease, Friedreich’s ataxia, cancer, degenerative diseases and the pathophysiology of aging. In order to explore mitochondrial pathophysiology new, selective research tools are essential. Focus Biomolecules is proud to offer a comprehensive panel of mitochondria reagents. This includes several new cutting-edge probes specifically targeted to the mitochondria as well as classic tools for studying division, fusion and permeability.

Leflunomide: Inhibits mitochondrial DHODH
Mito-photo-DNP is a mitochondrial-targeted, photo-activated protonophore. This novel tool consists of three structural units, a caged protonophore, a photocleavable linker coupled to a triphenylphosphonium moiety. Can be employed for selective uncoupling of either individual or a small number of mitochondria within a cell used with fluorescence imaging.
MitoSpy™: Mitochrondrial Localization Probes
MitoSpy™ mitochrondrial localization probes are fluorogenic reagents to label mitochondria in live, fixed or permeabilized cells for applications such as immunofluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry and as an indicator of cellular health. Read more
