PCTAIRE kinases (PCTKs) are cytoplasmic serine/threonine kinases that are related to cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). PCTK1 is found in terminally differentiated cells in brain and testis. Like CDKs, PCTK1 activity is dependent on the cell cycle, with the greatest activity recorded during the S and G2 phases. PTCK1 can be phosphorylated at four N-terminal residues. Phosphorylation at S119 and S153 promote 14-3-3 binding, which suggests that PTCKs may be involved in multiple signaling pathways.
SignalChem offers a growing selection of high-quality individual PCTKs and PCTK complexes to facilitate the study of these molecules and their downstream pathways. |
