Lung Cancer Related FISH Probes
Abnova now provides four FISH (Fluorescent in situ Hybridization) probes that recognize lung cancer related genes - MET, KIF5B, RET and ROS1 respectively. Using FISH technique, these validated probes specifically identifies non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) chromosomal abnormality and have been used successfully in several publications. Currently, real-time PCR and comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) are two alternative methods to detect gene alterations. However, sample impurity for real-time PCR and higher cost for CGH are less desirable compared with the more rapid, accurate and cost-effective FISH probes that can pinpoint the gene changes.
